Apify reads public Instagram reels for you, with the spoken words, so you never log in to Instagram with a script. The free plan gives you 5 USD of credit every month and needs no card. A full decode of six accounts uses about 0.50 to 1.70 USD of it. YouTube needs no account at all.
- Sign up at apify.com with Google or your email.
- Open Settings, then API & Integrations.
- Copy your Personal API token and paste it below.

Pick the engine that reads the posts
Both use the same labels, so the reports compare. Claude writes your briefs in both cases.
- Create an account at openrouter.ai and add a little credit. 5 USD lasts for hundreds of runs.
- Open Keys and create a key.
- Paste it here. It is stored next to your Apify token.

Who do you want to decode?
Pick accounts that talk to the people you want to reach. Bigger is not better here: every post is measured against its own account's normal, so a small account that pulls 5x teaches you as much as a big one.
30 is enough for patterns. Under 8 counted posts an account gets a warning instead of conclusions.
